June 5, 2008- The construction crew is moving right along with installing the finishes. The first floor is the farthest along with most with the installation of tile, cabinets and granite now completed. Some units even have the frame less glass shower doors installed and the light fixtures mounted. The exterior is also taking shape with about 80% of the stone and wood siding complete. Everyone who has seen it has commented on how well it is turning out. The wood gables and the variety of materials used on the exterior give it a luxurious feel. The construction is still on track to be complete in October 2008.

April 22, 2008- Spring has finally arrived here in Steamboat.  Due to our record breaking year with over 480 inches of snow fall, there is still plenty of skiing to be found up on the mountain for those who want to hike.  However, down in town we are enjoying beautiful days of 50 degree weather and blue skies and the green grass is beginning to show.  The kayakers and bikers have dusted off their gear and we are ready for summer.  The outside of Bear Lodge is now coming along at full speed.  Most of the siding is up, along with the majority of the stone work.  Inside, tile is being laid and the walls are taking shape. 

January 15, 2008 - Work continues on Bear Lodge; all the windows were put in and the heat put on before December was over - just in time for all the snow! In the last week Steamboat has received over 60 inches of snow and it just keeps coming.  Despite all the snow and the fabulous skiing, the work is coming along on track.  Currently, the dry wall is going up inside, in addition to the continued efforts to put in the extensive plumbing and electric systems.  The workers have also begun excavating and building the pool area in the back of Bear Lodge.  Seven new units have recently been released for sale in Bear Lodge.  For more information on these units, click here.

November 28, 2007- The snow has arrived here in Steamboat!  Bear lodge is really starting to take shape as we head into winter.  The final segments of the roof will be completed this week and work has now begun on the interior framing.  In addition, the plumbing and electrical crews have begun working inside.  With more cold weather and snow in the forecast, it’s looking like it will be another great ski season in Steamboat.

November 14, 2007 Bear Lodge is seeing the final stage of the roof being put on and the timing couldn’t be better. With the ski season just over a week away, the construction crews are now ready to move indoors for what we hope to be another great winter here in Ski Town USA.       

October 2, 2007- Moving into the first full month of autumn, Steamboat Springs has already seen its first official snowfall. The light dusting that came over the weekend hasn’t interrupted the construction crews that are diligently working on Bear Lodge. That once hole in the ground is now resembling a spacious building with the south wing being framed up to the third floor. Autumn’s cooler temperatures and beautiful colors make this time of year in Steamboat Springs a tranquilizing getaway.

The framing for Bear Lodge started last week on top of the underground basement garage. Bear Lodge is expected to follow the same construction schedule as we used for Emerald lodge.  Bear Lodge is on track to have the roof in place by the first week of December, so that the crews can be working inside a heated building for the long cold winter ahead.
